READ THIS IF YOU WANT TO STAY MOTIVATED:

I hear people talking about how they wake up early, work out, eat a smoothie and then kill the rest of their day. Yeah….. *laughs* okay…. I am content in my sweatpants with sleeping in until 11!!

Somewhere along the way though, I decided I wanted to actually start doing things with my day. I was done accomplishing nothing and still going to bed tired.

I started reading everything I could find online about being productive, having energy and staying motivated. So I started to drastically changed the way I live! And guess what!?

Nothing actually changed!

When you want to change your lifestyle, implementing a ton of changes all at once is dumb! (Excuse my bluntness)

Start changing one thing at a time.

Otherwise you are going to get burnt out.

Read a blog post (or better yet a book!) about what you want to work on. Actually make time to study up on the subject. Then slowly start applying what you learned. If it was about nutrition, start buying veggies to cook at home instead going out to eat everyday. If it was about serving others, look online for a place to sign up to serve in your community.

Do one thing at a time!

I am going to say it one more time…

ONE.

THING.

AT.

A.

TIME.

People do not change overnight. We do not change overnight.

Once you feel comfortable and can start feeling the positive change in your life, your motivation will pick up to start the next thing. Let the small win with each individual step fuel your fire for the next small step. And your next small step.

Do not forget to celebrate all these little wins! Life is hard enough!! Let yourself feel these wins and embrace them. Let your momentum propel you forward!
